The students are driven to push their limits and explore, encouraging them to expand their imaginations as young artists. The students are not just making art, they are learning about technique, art vocabulary, the principles of art and design and the history of art around the world, all taught on their age level. Parents can also get an evaluation of their child’s art level from the instructor at the end of class session.

Great location –Art Adventure Class is available at different locations, making it’s services available to a wide range of residence in Howard County. * Each section of class runs for eight weeks.

Studio experience - Daily lessons focus on teaching imaginative thinking and creative visual processes as well as problem solving. Lessons are introduced with games relating to the art topic, particular
artists, art movements or specific techniques followed by a studio art period and time to share and revise work.

Variety - Breaks for recreation (Art related games such as find the primary color bags) and art discussion are part of each week of class.
* Every week is different at Art Adventure, each class day is themed and children are encouraged to dress up or bring in an item relating to the day’s theme (Miss Tina, Picasso the MonkeyTM and Frida the
CockatooTM dress up or bring in items too!). The Theme will be posted the day before, during student pick up. (ages 4-7)

Example: Animal Day: Bring in your favorite stuffed animal

*First day is always Reflections Day, campers bring nothing but what is needed for a self portrait,
themselves! On this day the children are also evaluated to see their art level. This determines what
projects are introduced in class.

Communication - Art Adventure newsletter (For the Parents) and Monkey Mail ( For the kids ages 4-7) is handed out the first day of class. Any important information or changes will be posted during drop off and pick up on the Info Board.
